Hannah Schweighardt, age 14, is both a music writer and performer. Her heart is to share what God pours into her through both her music and the message that is in the music.
The summer of 2014 will be a very special summer for Hannah as she will be going to Kampala, Uganda for three months to stay with a missionary family. She will have the opportunity to serve in the Gaba Church through music and their various outreaches as well as work through Africa Renewal Ministries.
Although she is young, Hannah’s heart is to serve the Lord and be obedient to the call that He has on her life and to share His love. Hannah has been memorizing and studying the book of 1John. In her study time the following verses truly stood out to her: 1John 3:16,18,23.
(16)This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. (18)Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. (23)And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us.
Through her study of these verses, Hannah has heard God speak to her that this trip is going to be about her sharing God’s love and learning to extend that love to those around her.
On the financial side, her goal is to raise $4400 for her trip. Her second goal would be anything that she raises above and beyond that would go towards her youth pastor and mentor Mr. Greg and his family as they are in the process of adopting a special little girl from China named Hope.
